Questions before your next project?
Here are answers to questions we hear about printing, signs, graphic design, and custom work. Start with a category below. If your project needs a different approach, send us the details and we will talk through the options. Serving Brevard County since 2005.
Ask about your projectQuotes, ordering and visiting
What should I send to get a printing or sign quote?
Tell us what you want to make, the finished size, quantity, where it will be used, and when you need it. Attach your artwork or reference photos if you have them. Paper, material, finishing, and design needs all affect the price, so a few details help us quote the right job.
How much does custom printing cost?
Pricing depends on the product, size, quantity, material, printed sides, finish, and artwork preparation. A business card order and a custom outdoor sign need very different production steps. Send your project details and we will provide a quote for your specific order.
How long will my order take?
Turnaround depends on the product, material availability, finishing, design work, and our production schedule. Let us know your required date when you request a quote. We will confirm a timeline for your project, including time for artwork review and approval.
Can you help with a rush order?
Ask us and include your deadline right away. We will check what is practical for the product and current schedule. Some materials and finishing steps need more time, so we may suggest a different specification if it helps meet your date. Rush availability and any added cost are confirmed with your quote.
Do you have a minimum order quantity?
Minimums vary by product and production method. Tell us the quantity you actually need rather than guessing at a minimum. We can discuss available quantities and whether ordering more changes the cost per piece.
Do you serve Rockledge and the rest of Brevard County?
Yes. We are based in Rockledge and have been serving Brevard County since 2005. We work with local businesses, organizations, and individuals on graphic design, printed marketing materials, signs, and custom projects. Our office hours are listed on the contact section of the site.
Can I pick up my order or have it shipped?
Let us know how you would like to receive your order when requesting a quote. We will confirm pickup arrangements or discuss shipping options for the size and type of product. Packaging, delivery cost, and timing should be agreed before production.
Artwork, file preparation and AI images
What file format is best for printing?
A correctly prepared PDF is usually a good starting point. Original vector files are helpful for logos, lettering, and cut shapes. High resolution image files can work for photos and other raster artwork. Attach your file to the quote request and tell us the final print size so we can review it for the actual job.
Can I provide AI generated images for my project?
Yes, AI generated images can be used, but they are rarely ready for print production exactly as supplied. Images that look good on a screen may contain blurry details, incorrect lettering, distorted objects, or limited resolution. These problems become more obvious on larger signs, posters, banners, and vehicle graphics. Send the original image and intended print size for review.
Will you edit or fix my AI generated artwork?
We can review the image and discuss what can reasonably be corrected, rebuilt, or redesigned. Editing AI images requires design charges priced per project. The cost depends on the changes and time involved, and we will quote the work before moving ahead. Increasing the pixel count alone does not fix incorrect text, missing detail, or an unsuitable layout.
Is an Adobe Illustrator AI file the same as an AI generated image?
No. The .ai file extension refers to an Adobe Illustrator document. It can contain vector artwork, placed images, or both. AI generated describes how an image was created. For production, what matters is the actual file contents, image quality, dimensions, and whether the design can be edited or cut as needed.
Can you print a screenshot or an image from social media?
Sometimes, but these files are often compressed or too small for a clean print. Send the original photo, logo, or exported design whenever possible. A screenshot may work as a reference, but it is usually a poor source for a large poster, sign, or vehicle graphic.
What resolution do print images need?
Resolution should be checked at the final print size. Around 300 pixels per inch is a common target for small pieces viewed up close. Large signs and graphics may use a different target depending on viewing distance and the material. Tell us the intended size before resizing the image so we can advise on the file you actually have.
What is the difference between vector and raster artwork?
Vector artwork uses paths that can scale without becoming pixelated, which makes it useful for logos, lettering, vinyl cutting, and CNC shapes. Raster images use pixels and include most photos and AI generated images. Saving a small image as a PDF or SVG does not automatically turn it into clean vector artwork.
What are bleed and safe margins?
Bleed is artwork that extends beyond the trim edge so there is no unintended white border after cutting. Safe margins keep text and important details away from trim lines, folds, and cutouts. Requirements vary by product, so ask for the correct dimensions or template before setting up the file.
Can I send a design made in Canva?
Yes. A PDF Print export is usually more useful than a screenshot. Check the final dimensions and use the bleed settings required for your product. Keep important text away from edges and folds. If the file needs layout changes or image cleanup, we will discuss any design charges before making them.
Why can printed colors look different from my screen?
Screens display light, while printed color depends on inks, material, and finish. RGB screen colors do not always reproduce exactly in print. If a particular brand color matters, tell us before production and provide your color references. We can discuss a suitable approach and any proofing options for the job.
What should I check before approving my artwork?
Check spelling, contact details, dates, sizes, image quality, and every QR code or web address. Review both sides and any folds or cutouts. Tell us about corrections before approval. Artwork changes, revision scope, and any added production costs are discussed for your project.
Can I use any logo, photo, or AI image I find online?
Please supply artwork you own or have permission to use for the intended project. Finding an image online or generating one with an AI tool does not by itself settle usage rights. If you are unsure about a source, check its terms and permissions before asking us to produce the item.
Business cards, paper and finishes
What size is a standard business card?
A standard business card is 3.5 by 2 inches. Square and slim formats can give the card a different feel, but should still leave room for readable contact details. See our business card listing for common sizes and ask about the stock and finish combinations available for your order.
What is the difference between 14pt and 16pt cardstock?
The point number describes thickness. A 16pt card is thicker than a 14pt card. Thickness affects how the card feels, while coating and finish affect its surface and appearance. Tell us whether you want an everyday card or a more substantial feel and we can discuss suitable options.
Should I choose gloss, matte, or uncoated business cards?
Gloss has a reflective finish that can make color stand out. Matte has a softer appearance with less shine. Uncoated stock has a paper feel and may suit a card that needs to be written on. The best choice depends on the design and how the card will be used.
Do you offer soft touch, silk, spot UV, or rounded corners?
These are options to ask about for business cards. Soft touch and silk finishes change the feel of the surface, while spot UV can highlight selected areas. Rounded corners change the shape. Available combinations depend on the stock, size, and production method, so we confirm them with your quote.
Can I print on both sides or add a QR code?
Yes, we can discuss single or double sided layouts and QR codes. The back can hold a short service list, appointment space, or another useful message. Keep the QR code large enough and give it clear space. Test the destination and scan the final artwork before approval.
Flyers, brochures, postcards and folders
Should I use a flyer or a brochure?
A flyer works well for one main offer, event, or short service message. A brochure gives you more room to explain your business in sections. Think about what the reader needs to know and what you want them to do next. We can help choose a size and organize the layout.
How do I set up a trifold or folded brochure?
Start with the finished size and fold style. Panels on some folds need different widths so the piece closes properly. Keep text away from fold lines and check the reading order on both sides. Ask us for the correct layout dimensions before designing or exporting your print file.
What paper should I choose for flyers or brochures?
Lighter text paper folds easily and is useful for handouts. Cover stock makes a sturdier piece. Gloss, matte, and uncoated surfaces each have a different look and feel. Tell us whether the piece will be mailed, handed out, folded, or displayed so we can discuss a practical choice.
Can you make door hangers with a custom layout?
Yes. Door hangers need artwork planned around the opening and cut shape, as well as the outer trim. Our product listing includes common sizes and opening styles. Ask for the appropriate template and keep important text away from cutouts. Design work is quoted for the scope of your project.
Can postcards be used for direct mail?
Postcards can be designed for mailing or hand distribution. If you plan to mail them, tell us the mailing method before choosing the size and layout. Address areas, postage space, and postal specifications need to be considered. Confirm the current requirements with your mailing provider before approving the design.
Do you print presentation folders?
Yes. Presentation folders are useful for proposals, welcome packets, and sales materials. Share the size of the documents you want to include and your preferred pocket arrangement. Ask about available business card slots and finishing options. Folder artwork should use a template that accounts for pockets, folds, and cuts.
Can you design an advertisement for a magazine or publication?
Yes. Send the publication’s exact ad dimensions, file specifications, deadline, and your final copy and images. An ad layout should be built for that placement rather than simply shrinking a flyer. We can quote design and any artwork preparation needed for the publisher’s requirements.
Signs, banners and business displays
What type of sign is best for my business?
Start with where it will go, how long you need it, and how far away people will read it. A storefront sign identifies your location, a yard sign shares a short message, and a banner can promote an event or offer. Tell us the location and dimensions so we can discuss materials and layout.
Can yard signs and banners be used outdoors?
Many are made for outdoor use, but material, mounting, exposure, and intended duration all matter. Wind and Florida weather can put stress on a sign and its supports. Describe the installation location and how long the sign needs to stay up. We will discuss suitable options for that use.
Do banners include grommets, hems, or hanging hardware?
Finishing and hardware should be specified in the quote. Grommets can provide attachment points, and hems or other edge finishing may suit the application. Tell us how and where you plan to hang the banner. We will confirm the finishing and what hardware is included before production.
Can you replace the graphics in my existing A-frame sign?
Send a photo of the frame and accurate measurements of the panel area. Frames and insert systems vary, so the artwork needs to match your actual display. We can discuss suitable replacement graphics and whether your existing unit is appropriate for the intended indoor or outdoor use.
How big should the lettering on my sign be?
Letter size depends on viewing distance, traffic speed, contrast, and the amount of information. A roadside sign needs a simpler message than a sign read at a doorway. Give us the placement and expected viewing distance so we can design around the main message rather than overcrowding the space.
Do you make illuminated or electrical signs?
Our storefront sign work is non-illuminated. We do not offer illuminated or electrical signs. If you need a printed panel, dimensional lettering, or another non-illuminated sign, send the dimensions and a photo of the location so we can discuss a suitable project.
Should I check installation or approval requirements first?
Yes. Before finalizing a storefront or outdoor sign, check any applicable property, landlord, association, or local requirements for your location. Share any approved dimensions or restrictions with us. Mounting, hardware, and installation scope need to be confirmed as part of the project.
Posters and large format printing
How large can you print a poster?
Our poster options include printing up to 60 inches wide on suitable media. The final size depends on the material and project requirements. Send your desired dimensions and the original image file so we can review the print size, resolution, and finishing.
Should I choose a gloss or matte poster?
Gloss can give photos a reflective finish and a vivid appearance. Matte reduces glare and can be useful under strong room lighting. Think about where the poster will be displayed and whether it will be framed. We can discuss suitable paper and surface options.
Will my photo look sharp as a large poster?
That depends on the original pixels, focus, compression, final dimensions, and viewing distance. A phone photo can work well if the original file is good, while a small web download may not. Send the original rather than a screenshot. We will review what is practical before printing.
Does lamination make a print waterproof or permanent?
Lamination can add surface protection and a matte or gloss finish to suitable graphics. It does not make every material waterproof or guarantee an unlimited outdoor life. Edges, mounting, sunlight, weather, and the underlying media still matter. Tell us how the print will be used so we can discuss the right combination.
Vehicle lettering, graphics and magnetics
What is the difference between vehicle lettering and a wrap?
Cut vinyl lettering usually applies text or simple shapes without a printed background. Printed graphics can add full color logos and images. Partial and full wraps cover larger areas of the vehicle. The right approach depends on your message, budget, vehicle, and how much coverage you want.
How much do vehicle graphics cost?
Cost depends on the vehicle, coverage, artwork, material, surface condition, and installation work. Simple door lettering and a full wrap are very different jobs. Send the year, make, model, photos of each side, and a description of the coverage you want so we can quote the actual project.
What do you need before designing vehicle graphics?
Send your logo, final wording, brand colors, vehicle year, make and model, and clear photos of all sides. Include any existing graphics and damaged areas. Handles, seams, windows, and body curves affect placement, so the design needs to be planned around the vehicle rather than just a flat rectangle.
Will a vehicle magnet stick to any vehicle?
No. A magnetic sign needs a suitable magnetic metal surface. It will not attach properly to plastic panels or many aluminum body panels. Check the intended area before ordering and share its dimensions. Follow the supplied care instructions and remove the magnet as directed for cleaning and inspection.
Can vehicle graphics be removed without damaging paint?
Removal results depend on the paint condition, previous repairs, material, age, and exposure. We cannot promise that every surface will be unaffected. Tell us about repainting, peeling clear coat, or existing damage before starting. Ask about suitable materials and removal expectations for your vehicle.
Window graphics, decals and stickers
What is the difference between cut vinyl and printed stickers?
Cut vinyl makes lettering and shapes from a colored film, usually without a printed background. Printed stickers and decals can include full color artwork and images. Some printed graphics can also be cut to a custom outline. Tell us the look you want and the surface where the graphic will go.
How do perforated window graphics work?
Perforated film has small openings that can let you see through the graphic from one side under suitable lighting. The effect depends on the balance of light inside and outside. It is not a guarantee of privacy, especially at night. Tell us the window location and intended use before selecting a film.
What does white ink do on clear graphics?
White ink can create a backing behind color so it stands out on clear media. Areas without that backing can remain more transparent. The design needs to show where white should be printed and how the graphic will be viewed. We can discuss a suitable setup for your project.
Can a window graphic be installed on the inside of the glass?
Some materials and print setups suit inside application, while others are intended for the outside. If it needs to be read from outdoors, the artwork and ink layers must be planned for that view. Tell us which side of the glass will receive the graphic and whether the glass is tinted.
Can you cut stickers to a custom shape?
We can discuss custom contour cutting for suitable printed graphics. The file needs a clear cut path and enough space between important artwork and the edge. Very small details and tight corners may need adjustment. Send the shape, finished dimensions, quantity, and intended surface for review.
Are your stickers removable, weatherproof, or dishwasher safe?
Those properties depend on the specific material, adhesive, finish, and application. A packaging label and an outdoor vehicle decal have different requirements. Do not assume a sticker is suitable for washing, prolonged outdoor exposure, or clean removal. Tell us about the surface and conditions so we can confirm a suitable specification.
Graphic design, branding and web assets
Can you work with my existing logo and brand?
Yes. Send your original logo files, brand colors, fonts, and any current materials you want to match. We can use those assets across print, signage, and digital layouts. If the logo only exists as a small image, we may need to quote cleanup or rebuilding before it is suitable for production.
Can you create a new logo or refresh my branding?
Yes. Tell us about your business, audience, services, and any elements you want to keep. We can discuss a new visual direction or a refresh of your existing identity. The quote will define the design work and deliverables for the project.
What does web asset design include?
Web assets can include website graphics, banners, promotional images, and other digital visuals that match your brand. Share the platform, required dimensions, file format, wording, and how each asset will be used. We quote the design scope for the assets you need.
Can one design be used for print, signs, and social media?
A consistent design can carry across these uses, but the layouts often need adjustments. Print has trim and resolution requirements, signs need readable text at a distance, and social platforms use different dimensions. Tell us all the intended uses so we can plan and quote the versions you need.
How are design charges and revisions handled?
Design charges are priced per project based on the scope and time involved. That includes new layouts, logo work, artwork cleanup, and edits to AI images. We will discuss deliverables and revisions in your quote. Additional changes or new versions may require an updated price.
UV printing, engraving and custom projects
What can you make with UV printing?
UV printing can put full color artwork directly onto suitable rigid materials and products. It can be useful for custom signs, branded panels, displays, and personalized items. Material, surface, shape, and ink adhesion all need review, so send the item details before assuming it can be printed.
What is the difference between your CO2 laser and UV laser?
Our large format CO2 laser can engrave or cut compatible materials such as wood and acrylic. Our small format UV laser is useful for finer marking on selected materials and smaller items. The result depends on the material and desired effect. We review each project to choose an appropriate process.
What can your CNC router make?
Our industrial CNC router has a 5 foot by 10 foot work area for suitable sheet materials. It can cut and shape panels, dimensional lettering, sign components, and display parts. Material type, thickness, detail, and finishing affect what is practical. Send dimensions and artwork or a sketch to start the discussion.
Can I bring my own item for printing or engraving?
Ask us before bringing or purchasing the item. We need to review its material, coating, dimensions, shape, and condition. Some surfaces do not print or mark reliably, and testing may be needed. We will discuss suitability, handling, and the project price before accepting the work.
Can you help with a project that is not listed on the site?
Yes, tell us what you have in mind. We can combine design, UV printing, laser work, CNC routing, vinyl cutting, and laminating when the materials and scope suit the job. Include a sketch or reference photo, size, quantity, intended use, and required date. For personalized gifts and decor, you can also visit our sister brand, All Custom Gifts.
